Celebrating 10 years of quip

It all started in 2015, in a Brooklyn dentist’s chair. Fresh from a DDS’s advice to use an electric toothbrush, quip’s  co-founders looked at the leap from simple manual to highly technical electric brushes in the market and asked, “where was the entry-level electric brush?” 


Armed with an  industrial design background and a desire to reinvent oral care, the result was a  slim, modern electric toothbrush that’s easy to use, travel-friendly, and helps brushers actually want to brush. No charging stands, no clutter—just simple, effective oral care that feels good, looks good, and does good without the scare tactics.

 


 

Fast forward to today: we’re proud to say over 12 million mouths (and counting) have joined the quip family. From that original sonic electric toothbrush with replaceable heads, we’ve built out a full lineup of thoughtfully designed products: the best water flosser (cordless, portable), refillable dental floss, toothpaste, a Kids Electric Toothbrush made smaller mouths, the plaque-busting Rev Oscillating Toothbrush, and the super-effective Ultra toothbrush that turns heads and de-mystifies self-care habits.


It’s easier than ever to find quip — on shelves at Target, Walmart, CVS, and beyond, but we’ve stayed true to our direct-to-consumer roots, with our subscription service and quip Perks loyalty program, keeping your routine on track (and earning rewards for doing it).


Along the way, we’ve won design awards, earned spots on “best electric toothbrush” lists, and even stumbled upon a few OG product sketches that still make us smile. Ten years in, we’re innovating more than ever.
