Membership is non-refundable and is charged annually. One-time coupons expire after one year and cannot be combined with other offers. Benefits do not rollover and will reset annually. Refill benefits are auto-applied every 90 days (up to 4x per year). If you skip a refill shipment, you will lose one cycle of free refill shipping and any applied discount.

quip+ Membership includes one year of free refill shipping (US only), auto-applied every 90 days. If you already have an active refill plan or purchase a new plan your next free refill shipping benefit may not be processed until at least 90 days after upgrading to quip+.

What if I have multiple refill plans or skip a cycle?

If you have multiple subscriptions on the same account, benefits will be auto-applied to your next auto-refill shipment, then every 90 days for the year (4 shipments total).

If you skip a refill shipment, you will lose one cycle of free refill shipping along with your refill discount.

You can view a summary of all the benefits of your membership within your profile under the “Account Summary” tab.

To view your applied refill discounts, please visit the “Plans” tab.

quip+ Memberships are non-refundable. After joining quip+, you’ll have one year to enjoy your prepaid benefits and the option to cancel your membership before it auto-renews.

Your membership can be canceled at any time however any remaining benefits will expire one year from your initial membership activation.

To cancel a membership:

  1. Log into your quip account
  2. Visit the plans tab within your profile
  3. Click “Remove” next to the membership you are looking to cancel
  4. Click "Cancel membership" and follow the on-screen steps

quip+ benefits do not rollover. Additionally, quip cash and free store shipping coupon codes will expire one year after they are issued.

Refill benefits may be auto-applied up to 90 days after your membership term depending on your refill schedule.

Coupons cannot be combined and are limited to only one per order.

quip cash and free store shipping cannot be applied to the same order, nor can they be combined with additional site offers, like a 20% off promotion.

Account & Billing

To update your personal account details:

  1. Visit “Account Summary” under your profile
  2. Click your email or password under your account details
  3. Enter your current password to save changes

If you need to reset your password:

  1. Click here for a password reset
  2. Enter the email address associated with your quip account
  3. Check your email for a direct link to update (FYI: it’ll expire in 6 hours!)
  4. Create a new password (must be 8 characters long)

You can also update your password at anytime within your profile, by visiting the "Account summary" section.

All of our online prices are shown in US Dollars. International pricing is determined by the exchange rate of your bank or credit card in your country versus the American dollar. All displayed prices (such as £GB) are an estimate based on that day. For the most accurate cost after the exchange rate and fees, we recommend comparing the listed price to your country’s currency before purchasing.

With new policy updates, Value-Add Tax (VAT) will be charged on all orders to the EU, regardless of value. This is not included in the cost at checkout — quip is not responsible for any extra charges to be collected by customs upon delivery.

Does quip qualify for FSA, HSA or HRA?

If your dentist recommends a quip Electric Toothbrush or Rechargeable Water Flosser for your oral health, you may be able to pay for it using FSA, HSA, or HRA. However, these plans may vary, so please confirm eligibility directly with your FSA, HSA, or HRA administrator.

Looking to cancel a Refill order?

  • Automatic Refill orders are processed within 24 hours after your confirmation email is sent. Canceling a Refill Plan will not automatically cancel a pending order. If you’d like to cancel a processing refill order, you will still need to contact us directly by emailing refillsupport@getquip.com or chatting in.

Looking to cancel a Store order?

  • Store orders are processed for shipment within 1 hour from the time of purchase, To cancel a Store order, please reply directly to your order confirmation email to send us your request as this ensures the fastest response time.

Please note we cannot make any edits to the contents of a Store Order once it has been placed.


We do our best to answer all cancelation requests as quickly as possible; however, due to our order volume and processing times, we cannot guarantee the cancelation of an order after it has been placed, even if contacted within these timeframes.

You can also chat in for help — just include the name and email address associated with your quip account or the order number.

We will process the cancellation as long as the order has not already been processed for shipment. Either way, we will reply to your message to confirm.

Our digital Gift Cards are available in values of $25, $50, $75, and $100. All you need to do is enter your giftee’s email, the date you’d like for the digital Gift Card to be sent, and an optional message!

quip digital Gift Cards can be redeemed by entering the code in the “Coupon or gift code” field at checkout. If your cart total exceeds the balance on the Gift Card, you will be required to cover the remaining cost in order to complete your purchase. Any remaining gift card balance will remain on the card, which can be used at a later date. Once redeemed, you can view the remaining balance on a digital Gift Card any time by logging into your quip account.

The Fine Print

Gift cards can be used on orders from our online store page; they cannot be used on recurring auto-refill orders or at third party retailers. Gift cards are final sale/non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash (where applicable by law). While quip digital Gift Cards never expire, they cannot be reloaded. To edit the details of a digital Gift Card that has not yet been sent

  1. View your digital Gift Card order in your “Order history
  2. Select the “Edit Details” option
  3. Update the information you would like to change (To, From, Message, and/or Delivery Date) and select “Submit”.

To resend your digital Gift Card

  1. View your digital Gift Card order in your “Order history
  2. Select the “Resend gift card” option (you will only see this option if your Gift Card has already been sent, but not yet redeemed)
  3. You can resend to the same email address or select “Send to a different email” to enter a new email
  4. If resending to a new email address, enter the new address in the “Enter recipient’s email” field and select “Send” (you must enter a valid email address in order to resend the Gift Card)

Please note that resending your quip digital Gift Card will deactivate the previous code. Additionally, the Gift Card amount cannot be updated after purchase.

You can find your referral link or code within your profile in the “Referral Program” tab under the “Coupons” section.

Each time a friend of yours orders and subscribes from the quip store page with your referral link or code at checkout, you'll both earn a $5 Refill Credit to be applied to the next automatic Refill Order.

The person referred will need to sign up directly using your link and follow it all the way through checkout or enter your referral code during checkout — we aren’t able to apply a referral code or the credit value to an order after purchase! Additionally, your personal referral code cannot be applied to orders placed from your account.

The Fine Print

Referral Codes should only be used for personal and non-commercial purposes, and only shared with personal connections that will appreciate receiving these invitations. Referral Codes should not be published or distributed where there is no reasonable basis for believing that all or most of the recipients are personal friends (such as coupon websites, Reddit, or Wikipedia). quip reserves the right to withhold or deduct coupons obtained through the Referral Program in the event that quip determines or believes that the redemption of the promotion or receipt of the coupon was in error, fraudulent, illegal, or in violation of the applicable terms or this Referral Program. quip may suspend or terminate the Referral Program or a user’s ability to participate in the Referral Program at any time and in its sole discretion without notice to you. You may not sell, trade, or barter your Referral Codes under any circumstances.

To apply a coupon code, promo code, referral code, or claim code, enter your code during checkout on the “My cart” or “Review” pages into the box under “Coupon code”. You will need to click the "Apply" button for the offer to be added to your order.

Coupon Code

Once successfully applied, you’ll see a banner at the top of the page. Click "Purchase" to complete the transaction. If provided, scan your QR code to register your retail product and redeem your reward. Only one code can be used per order. If you have multiple claim codes, you'll need to check out separately.

Coupons are automatically applied when you check out using an affiliate link. If you’re using an affiliate link, simply click the affiliate link to apply the offer. You can also apply a coupon code on the confirmation page or in the cart during the checkout process.

Please note that coupons cannot be combined — only one may be used per order.

If you’ve purchased your quip product from a retail location, your packaging will include a claim code on a small green card. This card can be found inside of your packaging and will look similar to the card pictured below. If you're unable to locate your claim code, please check inside and around the box, in case it was missed during unboxing.

If you are not able to find your claim code or have already completed checkout and forgot to apply your claim code, please chat in so we can assist further. Make sure to provide proof of purchase with your email, such as a receipt.

Refill Plan Management

Our refill plans are fully automated to generate an order every 3 months after your initial order date. The contents of the refill will depend on the items ordered at checkout.

We're unable to change the date a refill order is scheduled to generate or pause a Refill Plan, but if you'd like to cancel (or skip) a single refill order, please let us know by emailing us at refillsupport@getquip.com.

Please note that refill orders are processed within 24 hours from the time they generate.

You can easily reschedule your next refill shipment at anytime†.

  1. First, go to the "Profile" section of your account and click on the “Plans” tab.
  2. Next, click on “Reschedule Shipment.”
  3. Choose your preferred date!

Subsequent refill orders will generate three months from your new processing date.

† Updates can only be made to future orders. Changes will not apply to an order that has already started to process. Please contact us or email refillsupport@getquip.com for assistance in canceling a processing order.

Can I skip or remove items from my current Refill Plan?

To skip one or more refill items from your next automatic refill order, go to the "Profile" section of your account and click on the “Plans” tab.

You’ll then be able to see the option to "Edit plan" next to the plan associated with the refill you are looking to modify.

You can then select the “Skip” option next to any of the items you wish to remove from your next automatic refill only. Please note that you cannot skip an entire order — you will need to keep at least one refill item in your order.

To remove current items from your Refill Plan, go to the "Profile" section of your account and click on the “Plans” tab.

Next to the plan you are looking to update, please click "Edit plan". You'll be able to change the quantity of items in your Refill Plan or "Remove" an item completely.

You may cancel at any time within your profile area. Under your "Plans" tab, click "Edit Plan" next to the Refill Plan you are looking to cancel.

To cancel your entire plan, you'll need to remove each refill item. You’ll then see a red “Cancel this plan” button at the bottom right of your screen and be prompted to select your reason for cancellation.

Select “Cancel plan anyway” on the next screen, followed by “Confirm cancellation” to fully cancel your plan. You’ll receive an email confirmation shortly after successfully canceling your Refill Plan.

Please note that canceling a Refill Plan will not cancel a Refill Order that has already begun to process. If you've canceled after your refill has generated, you will need to contact our team by emailing refillsupport@getquip.com,or chatting in to cancel the processing order.

We're unfortunately not able to reactivate a plan once it's been canceled. However, you can create a new Refill Plan at anytime by visiting our Refills page!

Placing a gift order

If you’d like to send the order as a gift, please check “This is a gift” on the shipping page of the checkout process. You will be prompted to enter the recipient’s name and email address and given the choice to add an optional gift message. Please note that only one gift message may be included per order.

If your order includes a Refill Plan, this will still be under your own account, however, your recipient’s refills will be sent directly to them and the address will be stored separately from your personal Refill Plan.

If you’d like your initial order to be sent to a separate address from refills, please scroll down the shipping page to the line, “Where should we ship your refills?.” You can then select the option for “A different address,” and fill in the information below.

When you decide that you would no longer like to send refills, you can cancel the plan. If you had provided their email address, the recipient will receive an email about the cancellation and how to set up their own account using their own billing information. Gifted subscriptions cannot be transferred between accounts.

If you would like to have multiple orders sent to separate addresses, either for the initial order or for refills, you will need to complete separate orders for each address.

If you are sending your gift internationally, please note that new policy updates to Value-Add Tax (VAT) will be charged on all orders to the EU, regardless of value. quip is not responsible for any extra charges to be collected from the recipient by customs upon delivery.

Managing a gifted account

To create an account on behalf of someone else, log into your quip account and visit your ""Referral Program"" tab. Click ""Add accounts and buy"" under the “Managed Account” tab and continue to follow the instructions on the page.

This feature will allow you to fully create and manage an account for your friend or family member. While log in details will not be provided to your friend or family member, they will receive shipping and welcome emails, and their refills will be sent to the address you attach to their account.

When you're ready to hand over control of the account to the recipient, just press the "x" button to "release" their account on the "Referral Program" tab. The recipient will receive an email to grant them access to the account and take over payment for the Refill Plan. Your personal payment details will be removed from the gifted account at that time.

Shipping

Your order shipment status can be tracked within your quip profile page by visiting your "Order History" tab, or by using the tracking number provided in your shipping email (we’ll send this once your order has been sent out).

Please note that a tracking number may not be provided in all refill shipment emails.

Sometimes, a missed scan can delay tracking details. Luckily, this usually resolves within a few days, and your package will arrive soon.

However, if there has been no tracking movement after 14 business days, please chat in with your current shipping address and we'll be glad to look into it!

The tracking information we provide often won't update past the point of departure from the US since your shipment will be transferred to your local postal service for final delivery. If you haven't received your order in 20 business days from the day it was shipped, we would recommend contacting your local post or customs office as the package will likely be held there for you to pick up or claim.

Occasionally, packages are scanned for delivery before your local mail carrier physically drops them at your home. As a result, you may receive your order within 24 hours after your tracking has updated to “delivered.”

If you experience any shipping issues, please chat in with your current shipping address within 30 days from the date of shipment. We also recommend contacting your local post office for more delivery details.

All newly placed Store Orders process for shipment within an estimated 0-3 business day window - unless stated otherwise on our website or noted in your confirmation email.

Refill orders generate automatically every 3 months from the date when you purchased your Refill Plan and begin to process within 24 hours from the time your order generates. You can expect to receive your refill order within an estimated 14 business days after you receive your shipping notification email. (Business days include Monday-Friday excluding federal holidays).

Please note that we will not be able to make any changes to your order once it has started to process for shipment.

Product Information

quip Electric Toothbrushes are powered by regular (or rechargeable!) AAA batteries that you can easily remove and replace. Just swap out your old battery when you replace your Brush Head, then you’re good to go for the next 3 months.

What is a quip Electric Toothbrush made of?

Our Metal options feature aluminum brush handles, bead blasted by machine and anodized to endure a lifetime of cleaning and our Plastic options are made from durable, matte-finished ABS plastic.

Our Kids Electric Toothbrushes are rubberized plastic to help smaller hands grip while brushing.

All handles are designed to be water resistant and shower-safe and quip Electric Toothbrushes, along with all accompanying materials, are free from latex, silicone, BPA, and phthalates.

How can I keep my quip Electric Toothbrush clean?

A humid bathroom can be a tough environment for your brush, so we would recommend storing it in your Multi-Use Travel Cover with its bristles up to allow for ventilation to thoroughly air dry. Please avoid storing your quip Electric Toothbrush in any airtight spaces - this includes the shipping tube that your brush arrives in!

To keep your quip Electric Toothbrush in the best shape possible, you can clean the upper white portion of your handle when refilling your brush head. Lightly wet the bristles of your old brush head and gently remove any toothpaste residue. If you don't have an old brush head handy, a damp paper towel will also do the trick. Be sure to dry all parts of your toothbrush before reassembling! Any moisture left inside the brush after cleaning can damage the motor and battery.

We offer our Brush Heads in Standard or Small sizes, each with dentist-recommended soft, round-tipped bristles made from soft DuPont Tynex nylon. Our Standard Brush Head contains 1,200 bristles in 34 tufts and our Small Brush Head contains 920 bristles in 22 tufts.

Our new Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush recharges your oral care routine! It lasts up to 3 months on one charge through an ADA Accepted replaceable brush head and a reusable handle for better brushing habits.

Initial set up

  1. After opening, you’ll first need to fully charge your brush by snapping the magnetic cable to the bottom of the handle while laying your toothbrush flat, or in the Travel Mount. Leave to charge for at least 8 hours.
  2. While your brush is charging, you can begin the setup process by downloading the quip app which you’ll find for free on the App Store and Google Play.
  3. You’ll be prompted to create a new quip account or to easily sign in to an existing one.
  4. Turn on your phone's Bluetooth® setting, then follow the in-app steps to pair one or more Smart Brushes to the quip app.

Your brush will then automatically log your daily routine brushings offline (no phone needed)! To review your brushing history, open the app with Bluetooth® on so it can sync when close to your brush.

Plastic Multi-Use Travel Mount and Charging Cable

Use your Charging Cable to fully charge your brush just once every 90 days to power two minutes of brushing, twice a day. Charge while laying your toothbrush on your counter, or upright in your included Plastic Multi-Use Travel Mount, specifically designed for our Rechargeable Brushes!

How to charge

  1. Make sure that your toothbrush handle and all contact points are clean and fully dry.
  2. Next, snap the magnetic cable to the bottom of the handle while laying your toothbrush flat on your bathroom counter or in the Travel Mount.
  3. Look out for the LED light which will illuminate to indicate that your brush is charging. It will turn off when your brush is fully charged (after about 8 hours).

For best results, leave your toothbrush plugged in until fully charged, and do not charge again until your battery is as close to 0% as possible. Please also be mindful of not stretching the cable too far to help prevent strains.

What’s in a refill?

When you sign up for a Refill Plan, we’ll send a replacement Brush Head and Large Mint Toothpaste to your door, every 3-months.

The quip Smart Electric Toothbrush tracks the good habits that have a big impact on your oral health. Specifically, the duration (how long and often you brush), coverage (top and bottom), strokes (number per minute), and intensity (back-and-forth acceleration of your brush) of your routine. With the quip app, you can also see trends in your habits over time, and get tips and reminders to help you improve.

Once you pair your Smart Brush to the quip® app, the Bluetooth® Smart Motor inside will automatically store your routine and points (no phone needed)! You won’t always have to use the app while you’re brushing — just when you want to check your brushing stats, get tips to improve, and redeem points for rewards.

If you already have a quip toothbrush, you can make it Smart! Simply purchase a Bluetooth® Smart Motor (available under “Accessories” on our store page), then swap it with your original one to get all the benefits and rewards of our Smart Brush. For warranty purposes, please keep your original motor.

Dentists recommend changing your brush head every 3 months before it becomes worn out and ineffective. We suggest kids leave this task to an adult or tackle it strictly with adult supervision.

♦If you’re using a quip Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush, you can skip these steps!

  1. Remove old Brush Head: Grip the head and handle in opposite hands, bristles facing away from you. Place your thumb on the dots, then gently pull the head off in a slight arc motion (don’t snap it directly backwards).
  2. Remove motor and battery: Pull the motor out by lifting it by the wings or using the thumbnail notch. ♦Once it’s removed, tip the handle over and tap out the battery.♦
  3. Clean brush handle: Lightly wet the bristles on your old brush head and use it to gently scrub away any dried toothpaste from the top white portion of the handle.
  4. Dry all parts: Any moisture left after cleaning can damage your motor and battery, so be sure to pat down all parts of your brush before the next steps!
  5. Replace motor and battery: ♦Drop in a new AAA battery or a fresh rechargeable negative end first♦, then slide the motor back in (it will spring up slightly).
  6. Apply fresh Brush Head: Push on your new brush head until it’s flush with the handle and you hear a dull click. Press the “q” to test, then you’re set. Happy brushing!"

Can shipping tubes be recycled? Yes! The clear plastic tube that your Toothbrush initially comes in can be recycled just like a water bottle.

As for our refill shipping tubes, presentation trays, and paper envelopes, these are are 100% recyclable! Our paper refill tubes provide a complete seal, keeping your brush heads and floss hygienic while being kind to the earth.

Ingredients

quip Anticavity Toothpaste is American Dental Association-accepted with the right ingredients to prevent cavities. Following the advice of dental professionals and the ADA, our paste includes fluoride for its tooth-strengthening, anti-cavity properties, xylitol, which helps to inhibit the growth of cavity-causing bacteria, and silica, which is gentle on your teeth, and no SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate). Plus, our tubes and caps are now 100% recyclable! Once empty, simply recycle with #2 plastics.

  • Active ingredients: 0.24% sodium fluoride (0.14% w/v fluoride ion)

  • Inactive ingredients: Glycerin, Water, Hydrated Silica, Sorbitol, Erythritol, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Flavor, Xylitol, Cellulose Gum, Sucralose, Titanium Dioxide

How much toothpaste should I use?

For best results, use a pea-sized dollop of toothpaste. Extra toothpaste doesn’t improve the cleaning ability of your brush! To demonstrate the right amount, our tubes feature a visual guide with a pea-sized dollop to scale.

The American Dental Association recommends using a smear of toothpaste (no larger than a grain of rice) for kids ages 2 and under, and a pea-sized amount for ages 3 and older.

How long will a tube of toothpaste last?

Our Large Toothpaste is 4.7 oz while our Travel-Sized paste is 0.5 oz. When using the recommended portion, a Large Toothpaste tube will last 3 months. Travel-Sized quip Toothpaste tube will last about a week.

What types of toothpaste do you offer?

We currently offer two flavors of quip Anticavity Toothpaste: Mint and Watermelon (each with the same active ingredients). Both flavors are ADA-accepted and designed to be mild, fresh, and safe for everyone to use. They are not made with ingredients specialized for sensitive teeth.

We do not currently offer a whitening version of either flavor, as our toothpaste is formulated to be minimally abrasive without any chemical additives.

How do I use my quip Rechargeable Cordless Water Flosser?

Before you get started, make sure to fully charge your Rechargeable Cordless Water Flosser, using your USB magnetic charging cable. Next, remove the Floss Tip (stored inside the Water Tank) and snap it into place. Open the reservoir hatch, fill with lukewarm water*, then close the lid. Please be sure to keep the lid of your Water Flosser snapped shut when in use to prevent less mess.

Tip: Make sure to use only lukewarm water to avoid temperature shock to your teeth!

  • We do not advise using any other forms of liquid as it may cause damage to the flosser’s internal systems and void any warranty coverage.

To find your flow (and avoid making a mess!) close your lips slightly around the floss tip and lean over your sink. Lightly press the “q” button for on-demand water flow, or press and click for a steady stream. Press again to turn off.

For a complete clean, start in one quadrant of your mouth, and floss one tooth at a time (~2 secs each) along the gumline, front/back, and in between. Be sure to repeat these steps in all four quadrants! You’ll want to be extra careful not to floss with the Floss Tip pressed directly against your gums as this will trigger the automatic shut-off sensor. (And can also damage your gums!)

To customize your clean, press the bottom LED button to switch pressure mode from gentle (white light) to deep clean (blue light). Once complete, empty tank & let fully air dry.

To recharge your quip Rechargeable Cordless Water Flosser, attach the Magnetic Charging Cable to the base of your flosser & plug it into a power adapter. You can refer to the LED indicator guide below to determine when your flosser has been fully charged.

How do I clean my Rechargeable Cordless Water Flosser?

Once a week:

  1. Turn flosser off and unplug
  2. Run warm water through your flosser (aim into your sink), then let fully air dry.
  3. Wipe the exterior of your flosser with a soft, damp cloth.

Once a month:

To break up hard water deposits, run a solution (1 part white vinegar, 2 parts warm water) through the flosser. Rinse before use by running through 3 tanks of warm water. Important: Never run the device with hot water.

Please do not submerge your Rechargeable Cordless Water Flosser under water or place any of these parts in the dishwasher. Stubborn stains or build-up? Spot clean with a damp cloth, water, and a few drops of dish soap. Never run any soap through the flosser.

What’s in a refill?

When you sign up for a Refill Plan, we’ll send you a replacement Floss Tip every 3 months straight to your door.

Ask any dentist and they’ll tell you almost any floss works well — if you follow a proper technique and use it at least once a day. We designed ours to help you get the basics right.

How do I use quip Refillable Floss String?

To use quip Refillable Floss String, section off ~18” at the green mark and move your way down the string with a new section for each tooth. Grip your floss string with a little bit of slack to maintain control and wiggle it through your teeth without snapping it down. Guide the floss down around the gumline, following the natural C-shaped curve of your teeth.

When should I use quip Refillable Floss String?

Dentists recommend that you floss at least once every day. Before or after brushing? Truthfully, there’s no wrong answer! It’s more important that you floss, and floss well.

Help get your kids onboard with those healthy habits! quip Refillable Floss String is suitable for kids ages 3+, with adult supervision recommended for kids under 8.

How do I maintain my quip Refillable Floss String?

We recommend wiping your Refillable Floss String down with a damp cloth to clean it. Please do not dispose of your floss canister — reusable and designed for continuous use.

In case your floss gets submerged while cleaning, immediately remove the dispensing head and floss spool. Set both out to dry for at least 24 hours before dropping in the floss spool and replace the dispensing head.

What is quip Refillable Floss String made of?

quip Sliding Floss String
A durable, mint-flavored string made of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene). It’s an ultra-smooth, shred-resistant material that easily slides between teeth. This floss is vegan and SLS free.
quip Expanding Floss String
Free of BPA, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), and free of poly-perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). It’s also kosher and vegan. We use a waxed nylon string that expands when wet to help you clean between your teeth. It’s peppermint-flavored and pre-marked to use about 18” every day.

The Refillable Floss String canister also includes a small stainless-steel blade (only 2.73 mm) safely tucked in the notch to help you trim your string.

Can the floss string be recycled?

Our floss is specifically designed to be refillable and reduce the need for one-time-use plastics. While PTFE and nylon floss are not recyclable, the paper tube we ship it in is 100% recyclable! After your refill spool is empty, you can also recycle the wrapper holding the string in place.

Your Refillable Floss String lasts at least 3 months when using the pre-marked 18” sections daily.

To replace the string

  1. Remove the dispensing head from the canister of your Refillable Floss, then tap out (and recycle) the empty plastic wrap
  2. Thread the floss from your new spool through the hole in the dispensing head, then drop the spool into the canister
  3. Press down the dispensing head to close it, then secure it by pressing down until you hear a heavier click

How do I restring my pick?

To restring your floss pick, press the “q” button to open the pick and clamp onto the floss in the dispenser. Press the top of the floss pick to close and pull away from the dispenser.

Next, press floss string down through the notch, and push it away from you to cut the string. To release and dispose of the used string, press the "q" button and start again! We recommend using about an inch and a half of floss in the pick and restringing at least once while you floss.

How do I clean the case and pick?

You can clean the case of your quip Refillable Floss Pick by wiping it down with a dampened cloth. The case isn’t water resistant — we recommend to avoid rinsing or submerging under water.

As you floss, your pick may accumulate gunk and grime. To clear any buildup, press the “q” button to release any string from your pick before rinsing with water.

Once you’re fresh out of floss

Remove your pick from the storage case and press your thumb into the circular divot of your holder. Press down to tilt the holder upward. Flip the holder upside down and slide the empty floss pod out to recycle.

Slide your new floss pod into the holder with the flat side down and pull out the rigid exposed floss. Thread the string through the hole inside the dispenser and put the case back together — listen for a click to know it’s secure!

Just like our Floss String, your Floss Pick can be forever full with an optional refill plan. Each refill pod replaces over 180 plastic picks — press a button to restring the handle over and over.

How do I refill my Refillable Dispenser?

Refilling your Refillable Dispenser is easy!

Prepare: Pinch top of the dispenser at the front and back to pull the drawer away from the exterior case. There should be two separate pieces - place each piece to the side

Open up: Break the seal of a Refill Pack and open it. Once open, pull on the green exposed edge (slowly so the pieces don’t fall out!) to remove the inner sleeve of gum or mints.

Slide in: Drop the gum or mints into the dispenser by sliding the sides of the sleeve around the drawer (the gum should stack neatly in place). Dispose any loose pieces of paper.

Close it: Once the drawer is loaded, slide it back into the exterior case (it should click when secured). Press the “q” button to dispense!

Here’s how to replenish your routine:

Open up: Remove the dosage cup and set aside. Pick up the dispenser — place one hand on the base and one hand towards the top. Pull base firmly away until it comes off and place to the side.

Prepare: Remove the child-safety cap from the refill bottle. Place the bottle inside the dispenser and load by screwing it into the top until secure. Do not pour mouthwash directly into the dispenser.

Reassemble: Pop the case back onto the dispenser and you’re set! When empty, rinse and recycle plastic refill bottle.

How do I keep my Refresh Bag clean?

To spot clean your Refresh Bag, just use soap and water on the interior pockets or exterior. For a full refresh, toss your bag in a washing machine. We used machine-washable materials, including flexible silicone for the shell and a polyester lining, so it’s easy to keep your favorite toiletry bag as-good-as new. Just empty the contents inside, use a cold, gentle cycle (unscented detergent preferred), and allow it to air dry once washed.

What’s the strip made of?

The Multi-Use Travel Cover uses a micro suction strip — it’s an acrylic sheet perforated with thousands of microscopic holes that work like tiny suction cups. When the strip is wet or dirty, the holes can get plugged up and lose effectiveness. Luckily, it’s a breeze to clean and dry to get back in action with 100% suction power!

The suction strip will only adhere to perfectly flat, shiny, or glossy surfaces, like mirror or glass. It will also work on some tiling, but only if guaranteed to be smooth and without surface variance. For the best adherence, the surfaces you are attaching to must be grime free, cool, and completely dry — please do not use your travel cover on wooden, painted, or papered surfaces.

How can I clean it?

With regular use or travel, your Multi-Use Travel Mount can collect lint or dust. The most effective way to clean the suction strip is to use a piece of scotch tape like a tiny lint roller to remove any debris. For tougher jobs, a bit of soap and water should do the trick! Make sure to let the suction strip dry for a full 24 hours before attempting to stick it on a flat, glossy surface.

To clean the inside of your Multi-Use Travel mount, insert a coin into the slot at the bottom to twist out. One click to the left and the bottom cap will pop free from the bottom of the cover! Once the cover is clean and dry, align the dots on the inside of the cap and the bottom of the cover and turn the coin one click to the right to lock in place.

How do I use this at home?

Keeping your quip fastened to the mirror above your sink ensures that it is safely secured and easily accessible. Apply 5 seconds of firm pressure to adhere your Multi-Use Travel Cover and place your quip Electric Toothbrush with its bristles up to allow it to air dry. To remove your travel cover, rock it side to side to loosen the suction strip.

How do I use this for travel?

Looking to take your quip Electric Toothbrush on a trip? Simply insert your brush head first, with the bristles facing the “quip” logo. You’re ready to travel in style with your quip safely in tow!

Our Solar Battery Charger uses sunlight to slowly charge one rechargeable battery every three months, so you can go green while you brush clean. Simply place the battery in the charger, place the charger on your sunniest windowsill, and then swap for a freshly charged battery out when your next refill arrives.

What are the best conditions for charging my Solar Battery Charger? The best windows are south facing, but west or east work too. We don’t recommend north-facing windows or placing in moisture-filled areas (like your bathroom!) and extreme temperatures. We also don’t recommend using a window with a heavy screen, as it might obstruct the sun. If you see sun on the panel, that’s a good sign!

How can I tell if my Solar Battery Charger is fully charged? A green light indicates the battery is fully charged. Orange means it’s still charging. Red means that there might be an issue with temperature, so make sure the location isn’t too cold or too hot.

How do I use the USB on my Solar Battery Charger? Use any Micro-USB cable to plug in the charger, and you’ll be fully charged in about 3 hours!

Can I use alkaline batteries to recharge my Solar Battery Charger? Please do not use alkaline batteries with our solar charger — it’s for rechargeable batteries only. If you’d like to go green, visit the “Plans” tab under your profile to remove the disposable AAA battery included in your Refill Plan!

Can shipping tubes be recycled?

Yes! The clear plastic tube that your Toothbrush initially comes in can be recycled, like a water bottle. As for our refill shipping tubes, presentation trays, and paper envelopes, these are are 100% recyclable! Our paper refill tubes provide a complete seal, keeping your brush heads and floss hygienic while being kind to the earth.

Can brush heads be recycled?

We use soft, round-tipped nylon bristles because they are recommended by dentists and the most effective at cleaning your teeth. While nylon bristles are not recyclable at this time, you can create less waste by just disposing of the brush head every 3 months. In the meantime, we encourage our customers to reuse their old brush heads whenever possible!

Before repurposing your old brush heads, be sure to disinfect them. We recommend running them under warm water and scrubbing the bristles with antibacterial soap for about 30 seconds to a minute, or until they appear clean. Then, mix one teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide with one cup of water and dip your brush heads into the solution.

Please do not attempt to disinfect your brush heads with boiling water or place them in the dishwasher.

Can I recycle the toothpaste?

Yes! Our new toothpaste tube and cap are now 100% recyclable. Once empty, re-cap the tube and recycle with #2 plastics.

Can I use rechargeable batteries?

Yes! If you'd like to start using rechargeable batteries, you can visit the “Subscription” tab under your profile to remove the single-use batteries included in your Refill Plan. Click the 3 vertical dots next to the plan you would like to update for the option to “Remove” an item.

What ages are quip suitable for?

quip Kids Electric toothbrushes can be an effective tool for guiding better brushing habits and are safe to use for ages 3 and up. With our Kids Electric Toothbrushes, we’d recommend supervised brushing up to age 8 to ensure that your child is practicing good technique 2 minutes a day, both morning and night. Once their first permanent molars come in at age 6, it might be time to graduate from our Small Brush Heads to our Standard Brush Heads.

All mouths are different and your child’s preferences are most important in choosing an electric toothbrush that’s best for them. Children may perceive various sensations differently than adults, so be sure to choose the option that your child will use compliantly! If you have any questions about your child’s specific needs, we always recommend consulting their dentist first before choosing an electric toothbrush to incorporate into their daily routine.

Both our Refillable Floss Pick and Refillable Floss String are safe to use for ages 3 and up, with adult supervision up to age 8. With that said, we’d recommend beginning flossing as soon as your child’s teeth are touching side by side. This usually occurs between ages 2-3, as more of their teeth come in.

To be sure that your child is flossing thoroughly, you should floss for them to encourage this healthy habit until they’re able to floss all on their own! With an easy-to-grip handle, our Refillable Floss Pick is a great way to introduce your child to nightly flossing before they're ready to use string floss.

What if I prefer to use a smaller brush head?

Any of our Brush Heads are compatible with all handles we offer. This means that if you prefer a smaller brush head, you’re welcome to swap out your Standard Brush Head for a Small Brush Head, anytime! However, we always recommend consulting with your dentist to decide the best fit for you before making the switch to our Small Brush Heads.

Can I use quip with braces or false teeth?

Whether big or small, all mouths can benefit from an electric toothbrush to spread paste and remove plaque. Braces and veneers shouldn’t fear! quip Electric Toothbrushes should be completely fine to use with any orthodontic work or false teeth. We stand by ADA recommendations for brushing with braces — for a full 2 minutes with a soft bristle brush and to change your brush head every 3 months. With soft DuPont Tynex nylon bristles and gentle vibrations, quip Electric Toothbrushes are perfectly suited for dentures, implants, or any other type of false teeth.

Though it might take a little TLC, it’s equally important to keep flossing alongside your dental work. Both quip Refillable Floss Pick and Floss String include waxed floss options to keep your teeth plaque-free.

With that said, we always recommend consulting with your dentist if you have any specific questions or concerns about using quip alongside your dental work, as your dentist will know your needs best.

The quip App

The quip app is available to download through the App Store and Google Play — simply search for “quip: Oral Care Companion”. The quip app is free to download and is compatible with most Android (10.0 devices and above with Bluetooth 5.0) or iOS smartphones (iOS 14+, Bluetooth 4.2+, iPhone 6S+).

To log into the quip app, you will first need to complete the initial setup. You can then log in with your existing quip account credentials, or by creating a new account.

Initial Setup Instructions

  1. Open the quip app - you should be automatically directed to the home screen
  2. Once on the home screen you will be prompted to allow notifications
  3. You will then be prompted to allow quip to use Bluetooth — please select “OK” in order to sync your brush data
  4. You will then be prompted to allow Bluetooth to accept new connections
  • For iOS: Apple Settings > Bluetooth > Allow new connections in Apple Bluetooth settings
  • For Android: Settings > Bluetooth > Allow new connections in Android Bluetooth settings
  1. You can then click through the welcome pages to be brought to the log-in screen where you can either sign into your existing quip account or create a new one if you do not yet have an account with us
  2. You’ll be prompted to “Turn on location permission”
  3. Select “Allow Access” to continue > after turning on location permissions, you’ll be prompted to “Start pairing”

After signing into the quip app, you can pair your Smart Brush by following the steps listed below:

  1. You will be prompted to pair your brush after you've logged in — click “Start pairing” to begin onboarding
  2. You will then be prompted to “Press the “q” button” on your Smart Brush to turn the brush on and then off. After completing this action, select “OK, I did it”
  3. Any brushes in range will now appear in the pairing screen — please select the brush you would like to pair
  4. Once you have selected the brush you would like to pair, that brush will vibrate for about 3 seconds
  5. If the brush that vibrates is the correct brush, click “Yes, pair this brush”
  6. If the brush that vibrates is not the brush you are looking to pair, please select another brush
  7. If pairing fails due to…
    • Connectivity issues, - please contact us.
    • The brush already having been claimed, - you will need to log into the account already associated with that brush to unpair, before repairing to a new account.
  8. Once you click “Pair your brush” you will be prompted to continue onboarding where you will be prompted to name your brush. Please continue to click through and follow the on-screen instructions until you reach the “Start brushing” page
  9. If you are an iOS user, you will have the option to “Connect Apple Health” once you have successfully paired to the correct brush

If your Smart Brush isn’t appearing on the pairing screen, turn your brush on and off, and click the “Refresh” button at the top left corner of the screen. If you’re still unable to view your brush on the pairing screen, try the troubleshooting tips below:

  1. Are you on the latest iOS software?

    • For iOS: Check Apple Settings > General > Software Update > Update to the latest iOS (The app is compatible with iOS 13+, Bluetooth 4.2+, iPhone 6S+)
    • For Android: Check Settings App > System > Advanced > System Update (The app is compatible with Android 10.0 devices and above with Bluetooth 5.0)
  2. Is your Bluetooth On?

  • For iOS: Apple Settings > Bluetooth > Turn it on in Apple Bluetooth settings
  • For Android: Swipe down from the top of your screen > tap Bluetooth
  1. Is your phone “Discoverable”?
    • For iOS: Apple Settings > Bluetooth > Allow new connections in Apple Bluetooth settings
  • For Android: Settings > Bluetooth > Allow new connections in Android Bluetooth settings
  1. If you're an Android user, are your location services enabled?

    • Settings > Privacy > Location Services > turn Location Services on
  2. Did you turn your brush on and off?

  3. Press refresh on the pairing page once more

You can unpair your Smart Brush within your “Settings”. Select the brush you would like to unpair and click “Unpair”. You will then be brought to the pairing screen where you can select to pair with another brush.

Yes! You can pair one or more Smart Brushes (including our Kids edition) to the quip app to track all those good habits in one place.

  • Click your initials at the top left corner and then select "+Add another brush" at the bottom of the screen.

Please note that your Smart Brush can only be paired with one account at a time — it cannot be paired with several accounts at once. This allows you to retain your rewards in the user account that you use to track your data.

If you would like to pair your brush to a new user account, you must first unpair your brush from the account it is currently paired to before pairing with a different user account.

You can “toggle” your brush to help sync any missing data. To do so, force close out of the quip App, reopen it, and turn your Smart Brush on for 5-10 seconds while in range of your phone. If the app doesn’t start syncing automatically after you turn off the brush, you can click the manual sync button to help it along.

Any quip app user can log their brushing, flossing, and/or rinsing habits to earn rewards!

Start by downloading the quip App from the App Store or Google Play, then create a new account or sign into your existing quip account.

If you have a quip Smart Electric Toothbrush, your brush data is automatically logged via Bluetooth and cannot be added manually.

If you have a standard (non-smart) Electric Toothbrush (quip branded or not), your brush data can be logged via the following steps:

  1. First, you’ll have the option to select which type of Toothbrush you have.
  2. Continue with the setup process until you arrive at the quip App “Home” page.
  3. Once you’re ready to log a brush run, simply tap the left-aligned brushing button, located below the points indicator.
  4. Modify the duration of the brush run if needed, and then press the “Add Brush Activity” button at the bottom of the screen. Please note, you won’t be able to edit the date or time of day.

To log a floss or rinse activity, tap the floss or rinse buttons on the “Home” page. Once you’re on the Habit-logging screen, tap the “Add Floss Activity” / “Add Rinse Activity” button.

To fully log any good habits, make sure to press ‘Save & Close’ before exiting the Habit-logging screen

If using IOS, go to Settings > Notifications > quip App

  • Toggle “Allow Notifications” on.

If using Android, go to Settings > Apps & notifications > App info > quip App

  • Tap 'Notifications' or 'App notifications' and toggle “Show Notifications” on.

You can erase your brush data by going into “Settings”, selecting the brush you would like to erase and clicking “erase all brush data”.

Warranty & Troubleshooting

Warranty Policy

Quip NYC Inc. (“quip”) offers a limited warranty for quip-branded toothbrushes, mouthwash dispensers, gum dispensers, water flossers and floss picks and strings. For all products that are associated with an active refill plan, quip warrants to the original consumer purchaser that the products above will be free from manufacturing defects for as long as the original consumer purchaser owns the items. For items not associated with an active refill plan, quip warrants to the original consumer purchaser that the product will be free from manufacturing defects for one year from date of purchase. Quip will replace a defective product or part(s) covered by this warranty, or will refund the purchase price of the product in the event quip is unable to provide a replacement.

If you ever encounter an issue with your quip product, please follow the steps in our troubleshooting guide, listed below under each product type, as most issues can be solved with a quick home fix.

What Does Our Warranty Cover?

Please note, our warranty covers all manufacturing defects, not normal wear and tear, product misuse or abuse, or lost items. While we will provide support and assistance for all issues, we cannot offer a replacement if your quip product has stopped functioning or has physically broken from incorrect use (i.e., handling, refilling or storing it in a way other than that illustrated in your welcome and refill manuals and on our website), or from general misuse.

Because we cannot control the quality of products sold by unauthorized sellers, this warranty applies only to quip products purchased through our website, authorized retailers, or received from an authorized dental professional. We reserve the right to reject warranty claims from purchasers for products purchased from unauthorized sellers, including unauthorized internet sites. Proof of purchase is required for warranty claims. In order to move forward with warranty coverage (including replacements), you must have a quip account. If you have any questions about whether a seller is authorized, chat us or email us at help@getquip.com.

Please note, we are only able to offer warranty replacements for the original item purchased.

If there are any outstanding disputes of payments, orders or charges associated with your information, this will void your warranty until they are removed or resolved.

With policy updates, Value-Add Tax (VAT) will be charged on all orders to the EU, regardless of value. While replacement orders are sent at no cost, they will be subject to VAT fees in compliance with the new policy. quip is not responsible for any extra charges to be collected by customs upon delivery.

There are no warranties beyond those stated herein. Any implied warranties that may be applicable to quip hardware products, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration to the duration of this warranty. Some States do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. Under no circumstances shall quip be liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages based upon breach of this limited warranty, breach of contract or strict liability. Some States do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from State to State.

A new battery usually does the trick — follow the steps below to get back to brushing ASAP!


  1. Remove old brush head: Grip the head and handle in opposite hands, bristles facing away from you. Place your thumb on the dots, then gently pull the head off in a slight arc motion (don’t snap it directly backward!).
  2. Remove motor and battery: Pull the motor out by lifting it by the wings or using the thumbnail notch. Once it’s removed, tip the handle over and tap out the battery.
  3. Clean handle: Lightly wet the bristles of your old brush head and gently remove any toothpaste residue. If you don't have an old brush head handy, a damp paper towel will also do the trick.
  4. Wipe motor: Be sure to dry all parts of your toothbrush before reassembling! Any moisture left inside the brush after cleaning can damage the motor and battery.
  5. Reassemble: Once everything is in place, press the q button to test.

We’re so sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with your quip Rechargeable Electric toothbrush.

  • LED Won’t Turn On:

Please ensure that the charger and charging port are clean and dry.

  • LED is Turning Off:

If your charging cable is turning off after only 30 seconds, this may be due to an environmental factor. Please leave your brush connected and place it in a location that is <110F or >32F. Charging should resume shortly after.

  • LED is Not Turning Off:

Leave your charger connected for at least 9 hours without removing. We recommend charging overnight to ensure the cable is not removed before a full charge is reached.

  • Charger not attaching:

As this may be due to moisture, we’d recommend wiping off both connecting ends with a dry paper towel or cloth.

  • Charge will not get above 80%:

This is a feature built into our Rechargeable Electric Toothbrushes that prevents charging the brush when it already has an adequate charge. For best long-term results, we recommend only fully charging your brush once every 3 months.

We’re so sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with your quip Refillable Floss String.

If your floss bobbin is stuck inside and won’t come out

Remove the dispensing head and gently pull out all remaining floss in the refill. The refill will collapse and become easier to pull out using two green notches located at the top.

If your floss canister isn’t clicking open

Firmly press down on the middle white portion to open the canister and the top will pop up.

If it’s not clicking open, please do not use any tools or excessive pressure to force it open.

If your dispensing head isn’t reattaching

Insert the dispensing head into the canister and use your thumb to press it down firmly until you hear a heavy click.

If the dispenser head is not attaching, release it, and press it down again until you hear a heavy click.

If the above steps do not work, please chat in for further assistance and be prepared to provide the following:

We're sorry to hear you're having trouble with your quip Rechargeable Cordless Water Flosser. The below troubleshooting tips should resolve most issues:

Floss Tip Connection:

  • When replacing your Floss Tip, you should hear and feel a snap once it is connected in place. When properly connected, your Floss Tip should be able to turn 360 degrees
  • If your Floss Tip is not connecting or is unable to turn 360 degrees, please remove the Floss Tip and inspect inside, wipe clean, and shake upside down to ensure nothing is blocking the connection

Clog Detection:

  • The LED indicator will turn red when the Floss Tip is clogged and your Rechargeable Cordless Water Flosser will automatically shut down
  • If this happens, please shake your Water Flosser while upside down which will help unclog any debris
  • Please note, that the Rechargeable Cordless Water Flosser has a built-in sensor and will shut down if the Floss Tip is placed too close to your gums
  • If you are finding that your Water Flosser is shutting down frequently while in use, you may be flossing too close to your gum line

2-Min Shutdown:

  • If you’re finding that your Water Flosser is turning off after 2 minutes of flossing, please note this is intentional
  • We do not recommend flossing for longer than 2 minutes, so your Rechargeable Cordless Water Flosser System will automatically shut down after this time has elapsed

Not powering on:

  • Plug your Water Flosser in to charge for at least for 8+ hours, preferably overnight

We do not advise using anything other than water with your Rechargeable Cordless Water Flosser as this may cause damage to the flosser’s internal systems and void any warranty coverage.

If this doesn’t fix the issue, please contact us by chatting with our virtual assistant, located at the bottom right of this page and be prepared to provide the following:

Press the “q” button to release the “jaws” of the handle Make sure that there is no debris from a previous flossing session between the jaws and pivots of the handle

If the floss string isn’t threading through the case

Wet the tip of the floss string to reduce any fraying Make sure there’s a clear path through the hole of the case to thread the floss through

If you’re finding it difficult to dispense your mouthwash, a quick reassembly will usually fix the issue:

  1. First, Unscrew the base to check that the bottle is fully screwed in place.
  2. Unscrew the bottle to check the straw — the flat side of the straw should be inserted firmly to the hole and the slanted side should be at the bottom of the bottle.
  3. When reassembling, the bottle should be level for the base to reattach easily.
  4. Check that the pump of your dispenser is clean and clear by removing the button to give the well a rinse with warm water.
  5. Reattach the button — it should screw securely in place.

If you’re having trouble removing the drawer

Dispense all gum or mint refills before attempting to remove the drawer. The drawer should come apart from the shell of your dispenser with a gentle tug at the cap.

Make sure that the slots on the shell of the dispenser and the bumps on the drawer of the dispenser are clean and clear of any debris or build-up before reassembling.

If your drawer isn’t staying in place

Listen closely — your drawer should "click" into the shell of your dispenser!

If your slider is stuck

Dispense all gum or mint refills from your Refillable Dispenser before you begin disassembling it. Pull the dispenser apart with a gentle tug at the cap. Tap the rail of the dispenser out of the shell. Your dispenser should be fully disassembled at this point — each individual part can be wiped down or cleaned with warm soapy water.

Be sure to leave parts disassembled to fully air dry before reassembling and refilling!

How can I make a return?

We hope you find quip products to be as enjoyable and comfortable to use as we do, but understand that personal preference is key in being a part of your daily routine.

If you decide that you’d like to initiate a return your quip product, please contact us within 30 days of purchase, by chatting with our virtual chat bot, located to the bottom right of our help page. Please do not attempt to send back your quip order without contacting us first.

Domestic Returns

We can provide a full product cost refund (excluding shipping costs) within 30 days of purchase. Email us to confirm our return address and an RMA number for your package. Return postage is not included, but if you’d like a prepaid shipping label, we can issue one and deduct the cost from your refund: $5 for one item, $10 for two, and $15 for three-four maximum.

You can return up to 4 products using our prepaid return label for $15. Before you ship, please record your personal tracking number or request a tracking receipt as we cannot issue a refund for lost items without proof of tracking.

International Returns

We can also provide a full product cost refund (excluding shipping costs) for international orders within 30 days of purchase. Return postage is not included, and we are unable to issue international prepaid shipping labels. Before you ship, please record your personal tracking number or request a tracking receipt as we cannot issue a refund for items not delivered to our designated returns address.

Refill Returns

We provide a full product cost refund for refill orders too (excluding shipping costs) within 30 days of purchase. Please email us to confirm our return address and an RMA number for your package. Return postage is not included, and we are unable to issue prepaid shipping labels.

Retail Returns

We cannot process refunds on behalf of another retailer. If you would like to return your quip product that was purchased from a retail store, you'll need to contact the retailer to proceed with a return and refund.

All items purchased from quip popup locations and events are non-refundable.

We always hope it’s love at first brush (and floss, swish, and chew), but if it’s not, there’s no rush to send anything back before the new year!

With extended returns, any quip product (excluding quip digital Gift Cards) purchased directly from our website from November 10, 2023 to December 25, 2023 can be returned for a refund through January 31, 2024

Whitening Ingredients

Both whitening treatments are formulated with carbamide peroxide and flavored with peppermint oil.

How long will it take to get my order?

Who should not use whitening products?

Children under 12 years of age or anyone with severe periodontal disease, active and extensive tooth decay, exposed roots, severely worn teeth, or braces. Additionally, people who are allergic to teeth bleaching whitening agents like peroxide or individuals with overly sensitive teeth should avoid using whitening products.

How do I choose between daytime or nighttime treatment?

It’s really about personal preference.

Our 22% daytime treatment is stronger and faster (1–2 hours), so it won’t take up too much of your day, while our gentler 16% nighttime formula works overnight (4–8 hours) so you can wake up to a brighter smile.

Please note, our daytime an overnight formulas should not be used together; each formula is designed to be used no more than once per day.

What if I make a mistake with my impression?

No worries! You can redo the process until you get the detailed impressions you need. Follow the step-by-step instructions included with your kit to help you reboil, cool, and reset the putty.

How do I return my finished impressions?

Pack your completed impressions in the clear bag provided and original shipping box. Attach the return label provided in your package over the original, then drop off at any FedEx collection box.

How long does it take to receive my custom devices?

After you place an order, you can expect shipping to take about 3 – 5 Business days. Once we receive your impressions, the time to manufacture and deliver your first set is estimated to take 10 - 12 Business days.

Before shipping your package, we'd recommend noting your tracking number and taking a picture of your shipping label for tracking purposes.

I have upcoming dental work scheduled, will I need to complete new impressions after?

Yes! As dental work other than routine cleanings can alter your bite, completing a new† impression kit will be necessary.

quip Aligners combines the best of all worlds; an in-person records appointment helps ensure the highest quality of care, while remote monitoring with your dedicated orthodontist helps to save you money and time. We like to call that a grin-grin!

Your first step when getting started with quip Aligners, is submitting a virtual assessment. A dental professional will then assess if Aligners are right for you. Next, you’ll be paired with a local orthodontist for an in-person 3D scan, exam, & records for a custom plan. There’s no commitment until you decide to move forward with your aligners!

quip Aligners are currently available with select providers in NYC. Your treatment will include a customized set of quip Aligners, Dental Monitoring gear (i.e. Scanbox and Cheek Retractor), and after-treatment retainers. To keep your teeth healthy along the way, you'll also get a free personal care kit with a quip Smart Electric Toothbrush (or smart motor upgrade for your existing quip), Large Anticavity Toothpaste, and Refillable Floss String.

The American Dental Association strongly discourages DIY orthodontics, so we do require you to visit a provider in-office. Visiting a professional helps ensure that your teeth are properly scanned, your mouth checked, and your aligners well-fitted for the most effective and fast treatment — no hidden oral health issues or guesswork that can cause painful problems in the future. After your scan and then fitting, treatment is completely remote via the app with optional visits if needed or if a problem arises.

Go to your unique practice URL, enter the patient’s first and last name, email address, and click “Yes”. When asked “Subscribe now?”, enter the patient’s shipping address (for their brush head refills) and credit card information (for billing). That’s it!

By clicking “No” under “Subscribe now?” at your unique practice URL, we will email the patient with instructions to subscribe on their own. This will NOT automatically subscribe them, but will prompt them to do so at their convenience. We ask that you remind patients to look out for an email from us with their new account information in order to enjoy all the great benefits of a quip subscription!

- Subscribe via printed voucher card

Your practice program order will include printed voucher cards with your unique practice URL. Patients who use this unique URL to create their quip account will follow the exact same flow and receive the same benefits as your patients who subscribe via email.

We also understand that there are many factors that drive patients into your practice. Sometimes it’s routine needs, sometimes discomfort, and sometimes patients are seeking a pathway to achieve increased confidence in their smile and bite.

This is why quip has partnered with Clear Correct ™ clear aligners, Dental Monitoring remote monitoring systems, and most importantly, a Board Certified Orthodontist, to help connect our everyday consumers’ interest in enhancing their smile with an Orthodontic treatment pathway that works with their daily lives.

The great news is that quip Dental Services will handle all of the Orthodontic care directly, safetly, and remotely, with the patient. You and your practice will partner with us to receive the new patient to complete the records appointment in your office. Just send us the information, and retain the patient as a new patient of record within your practice. Not only do you get the opportunity to keep the patient to care for hygiene and restorative needs long term, you don’t have to worry about managing the orthodontic care within your practice. And, we’ll pay you $250 just for accepting the new patient from us.
